{"id":3233,"date":"2020-05-20T15:35:52","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T15:35:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hpha.org.ar\/?p=3233"},"modified":"2021-04-14T23:57:55","modified_gmt":"2021-04-14T23:57:55","slug":"whatsapp-health-workshops-during-the-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hpha.org.ar\/en\/whatsapp-health-workshops-during-the-pandemic\/","title":{"rendered":"Whatsapp Health Workshops during the pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The current pandemic has once again spotlighted the importance of <strong>having an adequate\u00a0home to preserve our health and lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Faced with our new reality, <strong>we have focused our attention on looking for ways we can rapidly\u00a0help more families improve their housing situation and be able to stay safe.<\/strong> To do so, we\u00a0enhanced one of our most important programs: <strong>the educational one.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We changed the approach and methodology of our workshops and designed the <strong>remote\u00a0program \u201cHealth and Housing\u201d<\/strong>. We focused the workshops on hygiene and protection in times of\u00a0Covid19 and dengue, as well as every relevant aspect related to healthy family coexistence. We\u00a0are conducting workshops via Whatsapp with personalized follow up to ensure the progress of\u00a0the participant families. On completion of the program participants are expected to make small\u00a0and<strong> practical improvements on their houses<\/strong>. Every family who completes the program of three\u00a0workshops will receive a set of different products to implement what they have learned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>This reality allowed us to discover a great opportunity: addressing digital inclusion by giving\u00a0families the chance to use their mobile phones as educative tools to learn about improving their\u00a0current situation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Health and Housing program is not limited geographically, as it <strong>can be\u00a0implemented in any neighborhood of Argentina<\/strong>. As a result we are building new partnership with different organizations to improve the program\u2019s impact and help more families during this harsh\u00a0time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>We need your help to reach families whose houses are not a safe place to undergo\u00a0this quarantine, and help them improve their home and health.
