{"id":2623,"date":"2019-08-08T18:33:36","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T18:33:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hpha.org.ar\/?page_id=2623"},"modified":"2026-04-10T11:57:41","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:57:41","slug":"alquiler-social","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hpha.org.ar\/en\/alquiler-social\/","title":{"rendered":"Rental Project: Estela de Esperanzas"},"content":{"rendered":"<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Directed at offering solutions for families living in <\/span><b>precarious renting situations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we are working to resolve the rise of <\/span><b>unseen issues in urban housing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00e1bitat para la Humanidad Argentina has focused on the research and experience of the <\/span><b>Estela of Esperanzas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> project, an initiative that transformed an uninhabited space in the city into 9 apartments that are now rented to families who formerly lived in tenements or pensions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project considers two approaches:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Offering <\/span><b>residence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to families (our main focus) for a period of three years with a tiered subsidy based on the time considered to be able to recover employment and income.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The creation and operation of a <\/span><b>support network for training, job placement and income <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">together with specialized organizations. Using this approach we hope to offer the families the tools needed to access a safe and stable housing situation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our work is oriented towards possible changes in systems, practices and policies aimed at lobbying for fair rent so more people can have access to safe housing. In a city where more than 30% of the population live in rented housing, it is of utmost importance to find measures and models that provide a scale response to the reality of the housing situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2643\" style=\"width: 1010px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2643\" class=\"wp-image-2643 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/hpha.org.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Estela_de_Esperanzas_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2643\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hernandarias 674 building reinterprets the motifs and colors of La Boca in order to seek a harmonious aesthetic with its surroundings. In this way, the past is revalued to build the future.
